EVERYONE WELCOME
An invitation to all communities on the shores of Sandy Lake
Save Sandy Lake!
The Sun & Sand Community League is pleased to host a presentation and call to action to restore Sandy Lake.
This initiative is long overdue, and this first step is only made possible because of a few community members who have stepped up to start the conversation on making a meaningful impact on restoring the lake.
Join our guests for a community forum and a presentation by Amanda Koot, the General Manager from the Pigeon Lake Watershed Association. Amanda has a B.Sc. Environmental Studies with a concentration in Biology from the King’s University. She has worked in the field of watershed management since 2022 and has a passion for environmental stewardship through education.
Amanda will take some time to speak to the community about lake stewardship and how residents can take action to positively impact the lake. There will also be opportunities for community members to share specific concerns about the lake, and ask questions. The goal of the evening is to help the communities of Sandy Lake to better understand the lake and what can be done moving forward to improve its health now and for future generations.
